Based on ‘Fluid Appetite’ and a dream, Liuxizi Yang extended the concept of the public kitchen to the corridors of the Düsseldorf Art Academy in 2023 and designed a concept with Professor Dominique — a public dining table over a 125 meters long to celebrate the academy’s 250th anniversary. The preparations for this dinner were organised by artist Arpad Dobriban.

She dreamed that all the classmates from akademie were sitting at a long table in a church, having a meal. The table looked exactly like the one in Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper. In addition to food, the table was filled with various art collectibles — some like hand- shaped guns, others like Hong Kong-style thermos flasks, colorful porcelain pieces, candles of different shapes, and books. The books explained the origins and functions of these collected objects.
